To begin my newest blogging venture, I will be posting some of my favorite songs from the past. It is simply a list of all types of music from many periods and eras. So to start, here’s the stuff from waaaaay back (and yes, I know some titles are translated and some aren’t…deal with it):

Johann Pachelbel – Canon and Gigue – 1680

Johann S. Bach – Toccata and Fugue – c.1705

George Handel – Water Music “Suite in D Maj.” Alla Hornpipe – 1717

Johann S. Bach – Cello Suite No. 1 Prelude – c.1720

Antonio Vivaldi – The Four Seasons – 1723

Johann S. Bach – Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring – 1723

John-Joseph Mouret – “Fanfare-Rondeau” – 1729

Wolfgang A. Mozart – Piano Sonata No. 11 Alla Turca – 1783

Wolfgang A. Mozart – The Marriage of Figaro “Overture” – 1786

Next up: 1800-1850
